Nick Careklas
Nick Careklas is a Managing Director on LongWater’s Capital Solutions team, bringing over 13 years of experience in credit underwriting and public accounting.
Prior to joining LongWater, Nick served as a Managing Director on the Private Debt & Equity team at Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) and was a member of the Private Debt and Equity Investment Committee, where he was responsible for originating, evaluating, and structuring direct lending (unitranche, second lien, and mezzanine) and equity co-investment opportunities, as well as fund investments.
Earlier in his career, Nick was with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he primarily provided audit services as well as some business combination work, to public and private companies across diverse industries, including middle and lower middle market private equity portfolio companies, Fortune 500 retail and consumer businesses, public utilities, and private manufacturing firms.
Nick holds both a B.S. in Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Missouri – Columbia and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant.
